If your child is struggling reading a book or it seems too easy for them, you can go to book wizard on Scholastic, type the name of the book and it will tell you the level of that book. This is also where you can order books for your student using our class code NKDP8. Scholastic also has games, videos, and much more to explore.
National Geographic Kids provides games, videos, polls, stories and much more for students to explore. This resources always has interesting topics that surround science. During our informational text unit, students will find this website valuable as they will be able to use it to find facts about their animal.
IXL is a great place to practice math concepts. Students can practice concepts at their grade level and even beyond. This website is a great resource for student's at any level. Students can track their progress and earn badges for their accomplishments. I will issue a user name and password to each student.
The library learning commons page is where students can find appropriate links for their grade level. Often students get home and want to engage in an activity that they did in computer lab, but don't know how to get to it. To find the game/site: Click the link & then click on subject resources & choose the subject & then the game/site you would like.
Pebble Go is a great resource for students to explore facts about animals. It is very user friendly for the young reader. There are pictures, videos, and fun facts about all kinds of animals. Students will use this site for our research unit, however students love to explore this site in their free time!
